Beans review: 5-star tale of awakening set against backdrop of Oka Crisis


Filmmaker Tracey Deer recreates moments of her real-life childhood in Beans, a coming-of-age story centered around a Mohawk girl growing up during the armed stand-off known as the 1990 Oka Crisis. Beans is now open in select cities across Canada.
