If you want to be able to record your vocals, guitar or any other instrument, you need to know the basics of recording audio to a high standard. As long as you have good clear recordings to work with, you will then be able to mix and master your audio to sound great, without needing a professional studio at all.

I’m going to take you through the very basics of recording using Reaper (), which you can evaluate for a period of time before buying it, using all of it’s features for free during this time. This saves you from buying an expensive piece of software, just to find out that you don’t need all of it’s advanced features.
