Top 3 Free Code Editors For Programming in 2021

Many people learning to code make the mistake of confusing an IDE with a code editor when looking for a place to write, run, test, and debug their code.

Beginners observe people using integrated development environments (IDEs) to teach programming and attempt to use an IDE such as Pycharm, IntelliJ, Net Beans, or Eclipse.
These applications are used by IDEs to create scalable applications used by people. In contrast, as a beginner, you will be making simple applications to learn basic computer science concepts and syntax of programming languages. You will learn better by using code editors like Sublime Text, Atom, Visual Studio Code.

If you are into Machine Learning and Data Science, try using the Anaconda Distribution along with Jupyter Notebooks.

If you are into plain Python, Sublime Text is my favourite.
If you are into Web development, Visual Studio Code is the best. In my opinion.
If you are into Deep Learning, Data Science, you can use Sublime Text or Atom editor.

Links to install various code editors.
